Public Benefits

Here you will find a variety of public assistance offered by the government to low-income households.

Temporary Assistance, a cash assistance program that supports low-income households and snaps provided for the purchase of nutritious food. Wick, a food voucher provided to pregnant women and children aged 0-5 for nutritional support, and the Child Care Program for low-income families, which supports students with children and low-income working parents. In the housing context, the HEAP program, which helps pay for home utilities; affordable public housing; and Section 8, which provides assistance with rent. For medical insurance, we will introduce various public health insurance programs such as Medicaid for the lowest income households among those offered by the New York State government, Essential Plan for adults with slightly higher incomes than Medicaid, and Child Health Plus, an insurance plan for children that fully covers middle income households. The following is a list of the most common types of Other options include HHC options for those without insurance at income-based rates, low-cost dental care and prescription drugs, and more.
